In December last year IBTM presented its World Trends Report, with its author Alistair Turner looking at the future destiny of the meetings and events industry.

Three months later, and with so much changing globally, we revisit the report and talk to Alistair about where he sees the industry in 2021 and beyond; what did the report predict, what has changed, what has come true, and what new trends are emerging that will change the way meetings and events are managed in the future.

With special insight on the overarching trends of risk, security, sustainability and the move to virtual, as well as how the relationship between delegates, organisers and businesses could have changed forever in the wake of the pandemic.
